Julie Reilly - Purchasing Manager

Julie has been with Fero since 2006 and has taken our purchasing department to new levels. Julie has worked in the electronics industry in New Zealand for 13 years, with such companies as Philips, Navman, and Soanar. Her background is in purchasing and customer service management. Prior to this Julie worked in the electronics industry in China. She has a Bachelor of Engineering Degree majoring in semi-conductors. Her specialist areas are procurement, inventory management, logistics, MRP systems, customer and supplier relations.
Julie's favourite pastime is shopping and if her extensive wardrobe is any indication she is obviously a mainstay of the retail sector in Auckland.
Melanie Kam - Assistant to Purchasing Manager

At the age of 16 Melanie and her family immigrated to New Zealand from Hong Kong. After graduating from Auckland University with a BCom/BA, Melanie returned to her home country for two years to work for a medical equipment company. She enjoyed her time in Hong Kong but is disappointed now that she didn’t make the most of that city’s famous shopping opportunities! “Next time” she says.
Melanie joined Fero as an assistant to our Purchasing Manager and has adapted very quickly to the requirements for fast and accurate work, sourcing spare parts and components from our worldwide list of suppliers.
Melanie has recently begun playing the accordion and is pleased to find that she has not lost the techniques she learnt as a ten year old. She has promised us a lunchtime recital!
Rachel Barredo - OEM Support

Rachel was born and raised in New Zealand before moving to the Phillipines for her secondary school education. After planning to attend university in Hawaii, family commitments required her to return to New Zealand. In these post-recession times finding a job was not easy so Rachel registered with WINZ and was introduced to Fero through a job creation scheme. Rachel started in the warehouse picking and packing. When a position became available to support the Electronic Division, Rachael was an obvious choice. Her computer skills and attention to detail are an asset to the team. She is now coordinating many of our activities directly with our largest customers and they love her!
When Rachel is not working she can be found behind the lens of a camera, baking or enjoying a game of soccer.
Maria Hawes - OEM Support

Maria is originally from South Africa but has lived and worked in New Zealand since 2004. Maria joined the Fero team in 2012 after working at Tyco then more recently with Soanar. Maria brings a great deal of experience in OEM and manufacturing to Fero.
Maria is well settled in New Zealand with a New Zealand born daughter. She enjoys family time, swimming and walking her dogs.
Wendy Fulton - Special Projects and Marketing

Wendy’s experience in social marketing as Health Promotion Manager at the Auckland Cancer Society gave her the knowledge she needed to move into a marketing role at Fero. She enjoys working in a commercial environment after being in the health sector but admits to struggling with the language of electronics!
Wendy is also enjoying the opportunity to work alongside other family members to build Fero into a solutions focussed company. She is blown away by the number, size and variety of companies in New Zealand manufacturing everything from beverage dispensing machines to windmills.
A keen sportswoman , Wendy has competed in the Coast to Coast, Head to Head, the Round Taupo cycle race and several triathlons and half marathons.
Rachel Rogers - Accounts Manager
Rachel came to New Zealand from Southern China in 2003. She speaks Cantonese and Mandarin. Rachel gained a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Unitec in Auckland and initially worked as a book keeper in an interior retail shop in North Shore City where she was responsible for daily accounting and administrative activities. This job was to change Rachel’s life as it was here that she met her husband.
Since joining Fero in 2007 Rachel has had responsibility for financial and administrative functions in the company. She will continue in these roles as part of the larger Fero team.
Rachel loves summer life in New Zealand, sizzling barbecues and salads in the back yard, swimming at the beach, and enjoying picnics and music in the park.
Marita Bezzina - Accounts - Payments
Marita joined Fero in 2000 and is responsible for the general accounting functions in the company. She has responsibility for overseas suppliers, freight, payroll and keeping an eye on foreign currency transactions. Marita has a wealth of general experience in the company.
Margaret Bennett - Accounts Administrator
Margaret has worked at Fero for six years and is responsible for Accounts Receivable and Payables for all our NZ Debtors and Creditors. Born and bred a Kiwi and she has spent most of her working life in the accounts field. Like most Kiwis she had a year off in her early twenties to do her big OE and still has many happy memories of those carefree times.
Margaret also spent seven years as a stay at home Mum to her two children before returning to the paid workforce. Margarets loves travelling and recently spent time exploring China which she found fascinating. She has the common Kiwi fantasy that next Saturday her numbers will come up and she'll be off. In the meantime she makes a significant contribution to Fero and keeps us all on our toes.
Christy Leung - Accounts Assistant
Christy is originally from Hong Kong but came to New Zealand as a high school student to study. Christy continued her education here at Auckland University studying Accounting & Statistics. After graduating, Christy decided to continue living in New Zealand and started working for Wire Solutions as an Accounting Assistant.
