Fuseco

Fuseco was established in July 1996 in Melbourne, Australia by George Moraitis.

After working as a fuse specialist for severalfuseco_image.jpg years, George believed that an opportunity existed in the Australian electronic and industrial electric industries for a company that specialised in fuses and circuit protection.

In 1997, Fuseco acquired “Australux”, a popular brand of miniature fuses and fuse holders established in the 1960’s. In 1999, Fuseco became the exclusive Australian & New Zealand distributor for SIBA, a highly respected global manufacturer of quality fuses. Since that time, Fuseco has been awarded many agencies and distributorships and has become the leading supplier of circuit protection products in the Australian and New Zealand region.

Fuseco has become widely known for service innovation and has developed a great tradition of always looking for better ways to serve their customers. For example, the famous orange & black Fuseco wholesaler catalogues have become an industry reference for ease of use and cross-reference information. Most industry experts believe that this catalogue is the largest specialist fuse catalogue in the world.

Among many firsts, Fuseco was the first fuse supplier to offer a 24 hour breakdown service for their clients, offering them total peace of mind and the first company to offer their industry free product training and educational services.

After the arrival of a new director, Jim Angelopoulos in 2003, Fuseco went through an unprecedented era of expansion and relocation. Today, Fuseco enjoys significant market growth in the areas of electrical wholesale, OEM, power utilities, mining and niche specialist industries.

Fuseco has become one of the largest stockists of fuses and related products in the world, with over 4000 stocked line items. Their range begins with surface mount nanofuses and extends right through to 36kV protection for high voltage systems.

In recent years, Fuseco experienced an increase of popularity and business from countries outside its traditional markets of Australia and New Zealand. Today, Fuseco enjoys serving individuals, companies and governments from all parts of the world.

In 2006, Fuseco Pty. Ltd. became Fuseco Power Solutions Pty. Ltd. and made the decision to offer its famous service and expertise to the wider product area of 'Electrical Protection’, incorporating its traditional fuse product specialisation but expanding into other related product groups.

Fuseco continued its innovation with the launch of this website in 2008. We hope that you find the information and services offered here to be helpful and we welcome your feedback. Our aim is to continue improving in the most important way – by serving you!
